Our Pastor

Beth Williams

Director of Music Arts

Beth is currently the choral director at Chestatee High School in Hall County. She received her BM in Music Education, cum laude, from Georgia Southern University in 1989. Her school choruses have appeared three times with the National Youth Choir at Carnegie Hall. The advanced mixed chorus of Chestatee HS, I Cantori, was a featured performing group at the state GMEA In-Service Conference January, 2006 and made its second appearance at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2008.

Beth believes that the role of music ministry is to facilitate praise in the worship service and prepare the heart and mind of the members of the congregation to hear the God’s Word.

Beth also sees those who share in music leadership as a family:

“As members in music ministry we share a unique closeness as we work together. We are a family, called to the high purpose of sharing the love of God through music.”

Technology Staff

Sur Lax, formerly of Atlanta Institute of Music, has been a devoted member of HMPC for a two years.  During that time, he has brought his love of God along with his talent for music and technology to HMPC.  His God-given talents work with the Praise Team every Sunday to bring joy to the congregation and honor to God.  His skill with today’s technology, including Media Shout, assists in keeping HMPC in the forefront of today’s worship experience.
