We are currently seeking to fill 2 leadership positions for our Children's Ministry.

 

Children’s Ministry Preschool Coordinator

Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church

(Part-time)

   

GOAL:   To develop and sustain a volunteer ministry to preschool students which connects them to God and to the church.

 

OPPORTUNITY:

“I form you and use you to reconnect people with me.” Isaiah 49.8  Msg.

 

QUALIFICATIONS -- 

 

* HMPC church member or regular attendee

                * A heart for the church’s vision to reach unchurched and new families

                   * The ability to be a team builder

                * An able organizer and delegator

                * Experience or promising potential in leading, supporting and managing volunteers 

 

DUTIES --

• Recruit , motivate and train new adult and youth volunteers
• Maintain and track attendance of each preschool classroom
• Schedule weekly volunteers to serve in preschool ministry
• Send weekly reminders and curriculum expectations to volunteers
• Check in with volunteers on Sunday morning to make sure the classrooms are supervised
• Secure volunteer replacements when necessary
• Keep classroom bulletin boards current (monthly)
• Order any necessary curriculum materials
• Purchase and turn in receipts for weekly and monthly supplies and snacks
• Prepare classrooms with materials and lessons each week
• Purge or store unused and leftover materials from weekly lessons
• Provide background check forms to new volunteers/collect and turn into Administrative Support
• Follow up with phone calls/cards/emails to guests and visitors
• Meet regularly with Children’s Ministry Team, Spiritual Growth elder and/or Tom Bagley, pastor

               

               

       PART-TIME POSITION   -- 8-10  hours per week                               Salary Range - $ 6,500-8,000

• Secure volunteer replacements when necessary
• Keep classroom bulletin boards current (monthly)
• Order any necessary curriculum materials
• Purchase and turn in receipts for weekly and monthly supplies
